Business Interruption Insurance Claims

Your business may have insurance coverage to help cover its losses due to the COVID-19 pandemic. If your business has a “business interruption” policy endorsement, that policy may provide coverage for losses that the business has suffered as a result of the coronavirus outbreak.

Some insurance policies may provide coverage for business losses resulting from government action or civil authority closure orders that prevent, prohibit, or impair access to the business premises.

Should you have concerns about whether your business’ insurance policy covers the business losses you have suffered as a result of the coronavirus outbreak, please contact our office. It is recommended to have an attorney review your business’ insurance policy to determine whether coverage exists. If coverage exists, an attorney may be able to assist your business in presenting its claim to the insurance company. In doing so, you can ensure that your business obtains all possible compensation that is due under the policy.
